MODERATE CARE
Schefflera Amate is a great option for allergy sufferers. These plants are hypoallergenic! So, you can have a beautiful plant, and breathe easy!
This plant requires medium to high light and can tolerate direct sun indoors. It should be rotated occasionally since it grows toward the light.
It tolerates dry soil but should be watered when the top of the soil gets dry – every 10-14 days should do. Plant in a well-drained soil. If it is over watered or kept wet, the leaves will turn black.
Schefflera’s love humidity but can tolerate the dry air in most homes.
Fertilize once or twice a year. It will grow faster if it is kept fertilized. If it gets too big, it can be pruned causing it to grow fuller and bushier.
