Our commitment

Masson Farms of New Mexico wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we have done

  • Plant photos include text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text colors meet WCAG contrast requirements.
  • Pages, menus, plant details, and pop-up views can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Pages use a logical heading structure so screen reader users can move through them easily.
  • Plant search announces how many results were found, and results can be browsed with the arrow keys.

Known limitations

  • Some content comes from third parties, such as the Facebook page box and our AI plant-care chat assistant. We have limited control over how accessible that content is.
  • A few plant pages are still waiting for photos and show a “Photo coming soon” image.

We review the site regularly and fix problems as we find them.
