MODERATE CARE

Croton Petra is a great option for allergy sufferers. These plants are hypoallergenic! So, you can have a beautiful plant, and breathe easy!

Croton Petras thrive in high light (full sun and minimal shade) and warm temperatures. Since this plant likes a warmer climate, keep it away from cold windows and drafts. In the right conditions, the leaves will have bright yellow, orange, red, and even black markings.

Water when the top of the soil is dry to the touch. Do not over water. These plants will drop their leaves if they stay either too wet or too dry for extended periods of time.

They enjoy high humidity so either keep it in a more humid room such as a kitchen or bathroom, group it with other plants or place a tray of wet gravel near the plant.

Fertilize in spring and summer using a general-purpose fertilizer.
