Masson Farms of New Mexico operates one of the largest geothermal-heated greenhouse facilities in the U.S. — roughly 24 acres of climate-controlled growing space in Radium Springs, producing 30+ categories of potted plants.
Position Summary
The Welder supports fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal structures and equipment across the greenhouse facility. This role involves hands-on welding and fabrication work in a busy production and maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld, cut, and fabricate metal components for repairs and projects.
- Repair and reinforce greenhouse structures, benches, carts, and equipment.
- Prepare materials, set up equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Follow all welding safety procedures, including proper PPE and fire-safety practices.
- Assist the maintenance team with facility upgrades and fabrication projects.
- Inspect welds and finished work for quality and durability.
Qualifications
- Training or hands-on experience in welding, manufacturing, or a related trade.
- Working knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, and/or stick) and metal fabrication.
- Strong attention to safety and quality.
- Ability to perform physical, hands-on work.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS) or completed trades program.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and fabrication.
