Masson Farms of New Mexico operates one of the largest geothermal-heated greenhouse facilities in the U.S. — roughly 24 acres of climate-controlled growing space in Radium Springs, producing 30+ categories of potted plants.

Position Summary

The Welder supports fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal structures and equipment across the greenhouse facility. This role involves hands-on welding and fabrication work in a busy production and maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld, cut, and fabricate metal components for repairs and projects.
• Repair and reinforce greenhouse structures, benches, carts, and equipment.
• Prepare materials, set up equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow all welding safety procedures, including proper PPE and fire-safety practices.
• Assist the maintenance team with facility upgrades and fabrication projects.
• Inspect welds and finished work for quality and durability.

Qualifications

• Training or hands-on experience in welding, manufacturing, or a related trade.
• Working knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, and/or stick) and metal fabrication.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Ability to perform physical, hands-on work.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Welding certification (e.g., AWS) or completed trades program.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and fabrication.
