Alocasia Stingray is one of the most charming and unmistakable elephant ears, a selection of Alocasia macrorrhizos whose parent species come from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. Its name says it all: each broad, rippled leaf flares out like a stingray’s wings and then tapers to a long, slender, pointed “tail,” making the whole plant look like it’s gliding.
Beyond the fun shape, it grows into a sturdy, upright specimen with glossy, textured foliage — a real conversation piece.
