Light
Place in medium to bright, indirect light. It does best in moderate lighting out of harsh direct sun.
Water
Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry, about once per week. Don’t let it sit in wet or soggy soil, which causes root rot.
Soil & Feeding
Use a well-draining mix and rotate it regularly for even growth. Prune off any dead lower leaves. Fertilize every 2–4 weeks from spring to early fall with a diluted liquid houseplant fertilizer.

Philodendron Hope is a robust, self-heading philodendron native to the tropical regions of South America. Unlike the trailing heart-leaf types, Hope grows as a full, bushy, almost tree-like mound — its large, glossy, deeply lobed (feather-cut) leaves arching outward on sturdy stems.
Botanically it’s Philodendron bipinnatifidum (you may also see it under Thaumatophyllum), and ‘Hope’ is a compact, tidy selection of the classic Selloum — giving you that dramatic, split-leaf jungle look in a more manageable size.
It’s wonderfully easygoing: medium to bright indirect light, watering when the top couple of inches of soil dry, and a well-draining mix are all it asks. It grows quickly and forms an impressive specimen over time.
Lush, leafy, and forgiving — just keep it away from pets and children, as philodendrons are toxic if chewed.
