MODERATE CARE
This plant thrives in indirect, but bright, sunlight for at least four hours a day. If it gets too much direct sun it will get sunburned and the leaves will turn brown.
This plant should be in a sandy soil and it’s root density should be checked yearly in the spring. If it is overly dense, it should be re-potted to prevent pot breakage.
The humidity required by this plant is a normal level but if the air gets dry in the winter, you can mist the leaves every other day with plain water.
Origin: Native to China and Vietnam
Common Names: Aluminium plant or watermelon pilea. It’s scientific name is Pilea cadierei.
