Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light but also adapts to lower-light conditions, making it great for homes and offices. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Water
Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry, and make sure the pot drains well. Don’t let it sit in standing water, which causes root rot.

The Money Tree is a tropical wetland tree native to Central and South America, where it grows along riverbanks and swamps. Indoors it’s instantly recognizable: several slim trunks braided together, topped with glossy, hand-shaped clusters of leaflets. In this 12-inch size it makes a generous, floor-standing specimen.
It earned its name and popularity through feng shui, where it’s said to attract prosperity and good fortune — making it a favorite housewarming and office gift.
Care is easy and forgiving: bright, indirect light is ideal, though it adapts to lower light; water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil dries, and let it drain well — never leave it in standing water. Feed monthly through the warm months.
