Light
Poinsettias like bright, indirect light. You can display them anywhere in the home for the holidays — they’re meant to be enjoyed as a seasonal plant.
Water
Water when the top 2 to 3 inches of soil is dry. Water thoroughly, let it drain, and empty any excess from the saucer — they don’t like to sit in water.
Temperature
Keep them at room temperature, avoiding cold drafts, heat vents, and temperatures below 50°F.
Reflowering
To get color again next year, keep the plant in complete darkness from 5pm to 8am daily, starting in late September, at a steady 60–70°F until the bracts color up.
