MODERATE CARE

French Staghorn Fern does best in bright, indirect light. It should be placed in an area with the brightest light but no direct sunlight.

Water is absorbed through the leaves of this plant so it is important to mist regularly especially the undersides of the leaves. Make sure that the soil remains moist but not wet. When watering make sure the water drains out. This plant is somewhat drought resistant. If you notice black blotches on the leaves you are most likely over watering it.

Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer with a 1/4 strength fertilizer. During fall and winter, fertilize every other month. When the plant gets to the size you want it, reduce the fertilizer to slow its growth.
