MODERATE CARE
Dracaena Mass Cane is excellent at purifying the air of harmful toxins such as: formaldehyde and benzene (which is found in detergents, plastics and pesticides), trichloroethylene (found in dry cleaning solvents), toluene (which is found in paint thinner and nail polish), ammonia and, of course, carbon dioxide.
Dracaena Mass Cane requires natural lighting and should receive 8 to 12 hours per day. Keep it out of direct sunlight because that can scorch the leaves. The natural light will bring out it’s natural color.
They don’t require as much water as other plants and they need a well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Do not over water these plants. Water less in winter. Water until soil is soaked and then drain off excess water.
These plants enjoy humidity. Mist regularly if humidity is low. If you see brown tips on the leaves, you will need to boost the humidity by adding a humidifier or a tray with pebbles and water. Do not allow the pot to sit in the water though.
If kept indoors, fertilizer is not necessary.
