TENDER LOVING CARE
Alocasia Sumo does best in partial shade or filtered sun but can also be grown in full sun. A west or south-facing window is ideal but try to avoid direct sunlight.
This plant needs moist, organically rich soil. Provide consistent moisture during the growing season and do not allow to become dry. Make sure the pot has drainage holes and that water does not collect in the base of the pot or the saucer to prevent root rot.
Alocasia Sumo prefers high humidity. You can use a humidifier, misting or placing in a pebble tray (again make sure the pot does not sit in the water). If your bathroom has adequate light, you could place it there.
Fertilize every two weeks with a 1/2 concentration houseplant fertilizer or a 20-20-20 general purpose fertilizer.
