TENDER LOVING CARE

Freesias prefer to be in full sun to partial shade. A sunny window facing south would be ideal. They bloom in Spring and summer.

Plant in a well-drained soil. Most regular potting mixes will work if you are keeping it in a container. Keep soil moist but not soggy especially as new sprouts are growing. Water once per week when flowering but if the foliage turns yellow reduce watering.

Freesias love humidity – around 40-50%. This might be hard to achieve in dryer climates. They also need nighttime temperatures around 50-55 degrees to form buds.

Fertilize with a flower fertilizer when the first sprouts appear above the soil and also when buds appear.
