Care

Light

Thrives in full sun to very bright light. The more sun it gets, the more it blooms — a sunny patio, balcony, or windowsill is perfect.

Water

Let the top of the soil dry between waterings, then water well and let it drain. Geraniums are fairly drought-tolerant and dislike staying wet.

Soil & Feeding

Use a well-draining potting mix. Feed every couple of weeks in the growing season for the heaviest bloom.

Quick Tip

Pinch off spent flower heads (deadhead) regularly and the plant will keep pushing out fresh clusters all season.

Plant Bio

Pelargonium · the classic summer Geranium

The plants we call geraniums are really Pelargonium, native to South Africa and grown around the world as one of the most reliable summer flowers.

They form neat mounds of soft, rounded leaves — many delightfully scented when touched — topped by bold, long-lasting clusters of flowers in red, pink, salmon, and white.

Tough, sun-loving, and happy to dry out a little between waterings, geraniums are a go-to for pots, window boxes, and sunny borders.

What makes it special?

  • Months of dependable color in full sun.
  • Fragrant foliage that smells wonderful when brushed.
  • Drought-tolerant and very easy to grow.

⚠️ Geraniums are toxic to cats and dogs if eaten — enjoy them in spots your pets can’t reach.
