Care

Light

Prefers medium to bright indirect light, which keeps its stripes vivid, but it tolerates lower light too. Avoid direct sun, which scorches the leaves.

Water

Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry between waterings. It’s sensitive to fluoride and salts in tap water — filtered water helps prevent brown tips.

Soil & Feeding

Use a well-draining mix and feed lightly in spring and summer. Wipe the leaves occasionally to keep them glossy.

Plant Bio

Dracaena fragrans ‘Lemon Lime’ · a striped Corn Plant

Dracaena Lemon Lime is a brightly variegated form of the classic corn plant, Dracaena fragrans, native to tropical Africa. It’s grown as an upright, cane-forming houseplant: sturdy woody stems topped with rosettes of long, gracefully arching leaves.

The ‘Lemon Lime’ selection is all about color — each leaf is boldly striped in chartreuse-yellow, bright lime, and deep green, so the whole plant seems to glow. It adds height and a splash of brightness to a room and, like other dracaenas, helps filter indoor air.

It’s easy-going: medium to bright indirect light keeps the stripes vivid (though it tolerates lower light), and it likes the top inch or two of soil to dry between waterings. It can be sensitive to fluoride and salts in tap water, so filtered water helps keep leaf tips from browning.

Colorful, structural, and forgiving, it’s a great office or living-room plant — just keep it away from pets that chew.
