Peperomia Raisinet is a color selection of Peperomia caperata, the rippled-leaf peperomia native to the rainforests of South America. Its trade name captures the look perfectly: deeply corrugated, rounded leaves in dark, raisin-like shades of green, bronze, and near-chocolate.
Like other caperata peperomias, it grows as a tidy, compact rosette on short stems and may send up slender, greenish flower spikes when happy. It stays small — an ideal desk, shelf, or windowsill plant.
Care is simple: bright, indirect light (fluorescent light is fine), soil kept lightly moist but never soggy, and a well-draining mix. Its thick leaves store some water, so avoid overwatering, and feed monthly in the growing season.
