Gasteria Royal Wolfgang
Gasteria hybrid ‘WT10’ · Hybrid (parents from South Africa)
A distinctive hybrid gasteria with bold, mottled, patterned foliage in a compact, upright form. A standout specimen that’s tough, pet-friendly, and one of the best succulents for low-light indoor spots.
Available in 4½ inchCare
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light and, like all gasterias, tolerates lower light very well — an excellent choice for offices, shelves, and rooms with limited sun. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water
Water only when the soil is completely dry. It stores moisture in its thick, tongue-shaped leaves and is highly drought-tolerant. Always use a well-draining pot to prevent root rot.
Soil & Feeding
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil, and fertilize lightly once a month during the spring and summer growing season.
Quick Tip
Water at the soil, keeping the leaves dry — moisture sitting in the leaf grooves can lead to spots or rot.

Plant Bio
Gasteria hybrid ‘WT10’ · Royal Wolfgang
Gasteria Royal Wolfgang is a cultivated hybrid Gasteria, the South African genus of thick-leaved succulents related to aloes and haworthias. Named for the stomach-shaped flowers they produce, gasterias are famous for being among the most shade-tolerant succulents you can grow.
This hybrid is grown for its bold looks: thick, tongue-shaped leaves arranged in a compact, upright form, richly mottled with pale spotting against dark green. That striking pattern makes it a real specimen plant, whether on its own or in a collection.
Like its relatives, it’s exceptionally easy — storing water in its leaves, tolerating neglect, and thriving in the kind of low, indirect light that defeats most succulents.
Care is simple: bright indirect light (or moderate light), gritty soil, and water only when fully dry.
What makes it special?
- It’s a distinctive hybrid with especially bold, mottled foliage.
- It tolerates low light better than almost any other succulent.
- It’s tough, forgiving, and pet-friendly.
Note: Gasterias are generally considered non-toxic and pet-safe, but are grown for ornament rather than eating. Overwatering is the main thing to avoid.
