Coral Echeveria
Echeveria carnicolor · Native to Mexico
A soft, rosy echeveria whose flesh-pink to coral rosettes deepen in bright sun. Its warm tones are a lovely foil to green succulents — and like its kin, it’s pet-friendly.
Available in 4½ inchCare
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect to direct light. Its coral coloring intensifies the more sun it gets; in low light it fades toward green.
Water
Water only when the soil is completely dry. It stores moisture in its fleshy leaves and is highly drought-tolerant — use a pot with good drainage to avoid root rot.
Soil & Feeding
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil, and fertilize lightly once a month during spring and summer.
Quick Tip
Its leaves wear a delicate powdery coating — handle by the pot to keep that soft bloom intact, and water at the soil line.

Plant Bio
Echeveria carnicolor
Coral Echeveria is a species echeveria native to Mexico, where it grows on rocky slopes in the state of Veracruz. Its name, carnicolor (“flesh-colored”), captures its signature look — soft, warm pink-coral leaves.
It forms low, open rosettes of plump, spoon-shaped leaves in muted coral and rose tones, finished with a fine powdery coating that softens the color further. In bright light the coral deepens; in shade it leans greener.
It’s a smaller, somewhat loose echeveria that offsets readily into clusters and sends up slender stalks of little coral-and-yellow bell flowers — a favorite of pollinators.
Care is classic echeveria: bright light, gritty soil, and water only once the soil dries out.
What makes it special?
- Its naturally coral-pink color is unusual among mostly blue-green echeverias.
- A soft powdery coating gives the leaves a gentle, muted finish.
- It offsets freely and, like other echeverias, is pet-friendly.
Note: Echeverias are generally considered non-toxic and pet-safe, but are grown for ornament rather than eating. Water carefully — overwatering is the main risk.
