Blue Brazil is a Sedeveria — an intergeneric hybrid that crosses a Sedum with an Echeveria. These man-made crosses combine the trailing, easygoing nature of sedums with the plump, colorful leaves of echeverias, and the parent plants trace back to the Americas.
The ‘Blue Burrito’ selection earns its name from its leaves: small, rounded, and powdery blue-green, packed so tightly along the trailing stems that each looks like a tiny rolled burrito. As the stems lengthen, they cascade beautifully over the rim of a pot.
It’s a fast, forgiving grower that’s easy to propagate — dropped leaves and cuttings root readily — and a standout in hanging baskets and mixed arrangements.
Care is simple succulent fare: bright light, gritty soil, and water only when fully dry.
